A Message from the Owner

Experience Takes Time

In the first year of my career I had a client who wanted me to spend an entire hour on her back. That is a LOT of time on one part of the body compared to the 15-minute routines I had just learned in school. You allocate fifteen-minutes on the back, the lower legs, flip over and repeat on the front. I tried my best but... she wasn't happy.

That was eight years ago and I have learned much since then! Today, I rarely look at the clock and might go over time if I can tell it's needed. I ask a few questions but the body tells me what I need to know. I never solicit tips although they are rewarding and very much appreciated. I don't ask for reviews or give promos to receive them either.

I want my work to speak for itself.

Holistic Bodywork for me is about energy, about trust, about your feelings, your fears and apprehensions. My mother swears I'm a saint. I explain that it's basic anatomy...and then some. She insists that I have a gift. I then retort and call it experience.

Doing bodywork is an honor and I look forward to continuing our work together. Please read how I have reoriented my services to better match the purpose of my work and my availability going forward.

I recently received a Master of Science in Community & Regional Planning from the University of Texas. I work as an urban planner & designer with a local Austin-based company who does amazing work.

I love doing bodywork and my massage business is a personal achievement I am proud of and intend to keep. Holistic Bodywork, LLC will remain open. However, my schedule will be restricted to certain evenings and weekends. Bookings will only be available two weeks in advance. This is meant to keep rescheduling to a minimum but feel free to reach out if you need some flexibility.

Please keep my availability in mind if you purchase any package. Feel free to contact me if you need assurances on my availability. I can manually verify for you any appointment past the two week limit if available.
